wide-leg pants

I love these black wide leg pants. At first I thought they were a little much - I loved doing the trends but this one seemed a bit much - especially b/c they were a little too long so I could only wear them with the 4 inch heels. So last night I returned from a trip to Seattle. Been up since 6 - breakfast, got ready, meetings, airplane home, presentation to Volvo for class and then finally home - exhausted. I am talking on the phone with lynn about school and what we're going to do this weekend when my pointy 4 inch pumps wrestle my black wide leg pants to the ground and I'm down. I am now sprawled across the stairs - very Scarlet O'Hare-like - and saying "ow, ow, ow..." My suitcase goes tumbling down the stairs and my neighbors come out to see if i'm ok - they though it was me falling down the stairs. Meanwhile - lynn is still talking! hahaha, i told her i fell up the stairs and she's still talking to me about what we're going to do this weekend. I try to talk to her about it still. But I finally realize that I am hurting and so I tell her I'll call her back. I peel myself off the stairs and lift up my suitcase as my neighbors stand and watch - they don't help even though all my belongings are strewn about the staircase. They just watch as I gather everything and make my way inside, all the while softly saying, "ow, ow, ow" Maybe I don't love these wide leg pants as much as I thought - no - I do, I do!
